Distillery District Engagement Photos- Toronto Winter Engagement Photoshoot - Milli & Sriram
Every time I am in Toronto, I must stop by the Historic Distillery district. This place is just so magical with its brick walls and small cobble stone streets. It almost feels like it transports you in history. I am absolutely in love with the alley ways and the unique art installations. You really forget about the big metropolitan Toronto when you are strolling down these streets.
The Distillery Historic District is one of the most popular locations for engagement photos in Toronto but also a major tourist attraction. This means that it can get very crowded. Luckily, we were shooting here in the middle of the winter (February) and that meant a lot less crowds. If you want to take your engagement photos, I highly recommend you do it on a weekday and preferably when there are no special events going on (Christmas village for example). Winter engagement photos are also ideal here because the warm tones of the buildings will make you forget about the sub-zero temperatures.
Since the weather was a bit cold, we started at Allan Gardens for a bit of a warmer kick-off (you can see these photos here) and then we headed to the Distillery District. We took the time during the shoot for a coffee stop to warm up a little and these Starbucks cups made for the perfect engagement shoot accessories.
