Rachel & Pirre’s Wedding at Pointe Claire Yacht Club
Pointe Claire Yacht club in Montreal is a unique and exclusive wedding venue that you wouldn’t be able to book unless you are a member. Pierre, our groom, is an avid sailor and a regular at the club so when it came time to plan his wedding to Rachel, he knew it must be at the Pointe Claire Yacht Club. That is where he docked his boat after so many dates with Rachel and where many fun sailing hangouts with his groomsman started.
Rachel and Pierre are very laid back and relaxed couple and their wedding reflected just that. The Pointe Claire Yacht Club being right on the waterfront and with large terrace for cocktails allowed all the guests to enjoy the nice weather in a relaxed setting. We also took advantage of the green space around the yacht club for the family and bridal photos as well as the beautiful pier and docked boats for a nice unique backdrop for the photos.
The morning started with both the bride and groom getting ready at their parents’ house surrounded by family and close friends. We then moved to the ceremony which took place at Loyola Chapel in Montreal. Which is part of Concordia University and where the couple met. After the ceremony, we left the Loyola Chapel and drove to Pointe Claire Yacht Club for bridal photos and the reception.

Wedding Ceremony at Loyola Chapel – Rachel & Pierre
The beautiful ceremony took place at the Gorgeous Loyola Chapel with its magnificent high ceiling and stained-glass windows.

The Pointe Claire Yacht Club couldn’t have been more perfect with its waterfront willowing trees, wooden piers and docked boats. Every photo turned out just amazing.
Montreal Wedding Reception at Pointe Claire Yacht Club
Rachel and Pierre had beautiful rustic décor that fits with the setting of the Yacht club with several handmade and personalized décor items. I especially loved the seating chart that turns into a polaroid gallery.
The Reception was intimate and featuring some very heartfelt speeches. We wrapped up with father daughter and mother son dances.
I absolutely had a blast photographing Rachel and Pierre’s Wedding. I love how they chose a Pointe Claire Yacht Club as their venue because of how meaningful it is to them. The wedding was perfectly relaxed, intimate with friends and family, just as the couple wanted it.
